Illinois Concealed Firearm Licensee Shoots Robber in Chicago

On Monday July 25th at about 6am a Chicago man, licensed to carry a concealed firearm in Illinois, was being robbed and shot one of the robbery suspects on the West side of Chicago. The licensee happens to be a civilian employee of the Chicago police.

 

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that the robbery suspect was shot in the neck and is 31 years old. The tribune did not state his condition. Also reported by the Tribune is that he was accompanied by a 17 year old boy who fled, but was apprehended.
